A Federal resume is a resume that is specifically designed to apply to Government jobs. Based on a point system, a Federal Resume must follow strict guidelines, whether it is in terms of format or content.
Usually accompanied by short essays called KSA's, a Federal resume must also be written in a scanner friendly format as most Federal hiring managers use a software called resumix to select the resumes they will actually read.
